Idea for Quick and Easy Holiday Recipes

Layered Holiday Wreath

My family is spread out across the world, from France to California. But once a year everyone travels to my house to celebrate the holidays together... for 10 days. That’s why I learned to depend on delicious holiday recipes that come together in 30 minutes or less. Here are some of my favorite quick and easy holiday party recipes:

Holiday Appetizers, Drink and Dessert Recipes in 30 Minutes or Less

Crab and Artichoke Spread

Because the trees are bare and the sky is gray, I love to serve colorful appetizers during the holiday season. I can whip up this Chopped Olive Spread in under 10 minutes and it has a rich and interesting taste my guests can't get enough of.

A beautifully presented plate also helps to set the tone: I simply arrange some crackers, cold cuts, and sliced cheese in a holiday wreath pattern at the center of my table for everyone to pick at and get in the mood to celebrate.

On a cold and windy day these easy Grilled Cheese Marinara Bites  are not only fun, they're also the perfect comfort food appetizer.

Seafood is festive, elegant and expensive. That's why I like to feature it in appetizers, instead of main dishes to keep my costs down. I always double the quantities of this Crab and Artichoke Spread to make two servings as it tends to disappear as soon as I serve it.

Hands down, my favorite holiday seafood is smoked salmon. It is such a rich and tasty food that you don't need to do much to it to create a fantastic appetizer. These Smoked Salmon Supremes are easy to make and come together in under 10 minutes.

Fireside Apple Tea Sipper

Fun drinks like this Fireside Apple Tea Sipper are a great way to encourage your guests to linger, and this recipe takes no time at all to prepare.

Pistachio Chocolate Chip Parfait

Holiday gatherings wouldn't feel quite as fun without an elaborate table of sweets. This recipe for Cannoli Strawberry Bites looks decadent but is actually a low-fat dessert idea.

I like to serve these striking Pistachio Chocolate Chip Parfaits in pretty miniature cups as part of a dessert buffet.

Whether you're having just one party, or hosting family for extended periods of time like me, adding some of these holiday recipe ideas to your repertoire will help you relax and enjoy holiday entertaining. Then you can truly get into the holiday spirit!
